Siteless BCCI

There has been enough talk in the press, parliament and public about Indian Cricket and BCCI over the last few years. There have been crests and troughs attracting strong applause and frenzied criticism. The inordinate drama that was seen before and after the exclusion of a successful captain and induction of a perceived "genius" as a coach was nothing short of a bollywood film.

As the place of cricket in our society is quite high in the list of middle-class preferences, it deserves a better management in the shape of transparency in finances and information.

Towards discovering the state of transparency I tried to have a look at the website of BCCI.
And what a surprise, there is no Website of BCCI. There is no way for a common follower of the game to find out who are the administrators, what are their responsibilities, what are the revenues and where are the funds applied. What are the Terms of the Constitution of BCCI.
There is no information about all these in the Public domain.

The Ministry of Sports and the Government of India need to ensure that the BCCI moves towards greater transparency without any further loss of time
